Government Service Tax Workshop, 4th - 5th June 2014, Grand Bluewave Hotel, Johor Bahru

The Government has announced that the GST (Goods and Services Tax) will be implemented on 1 April 2015. With less than 11 months to go, businesses including SME’s should take immediate steps to assess the impact of GST and mobilise resources to prepare for implementation of GST. There are several implications for businesses especially those , with an annual turnover of RM 500,000 per year. They have to be registered and with that comes the responsibilities and obligations of a “tax collection agent.” This will involve potential risks, administrative obligations and costs, implementation issues, etc. Drawing on the GST experience of other countries , it is important to start early and be prepared in order to manage these potential risks and costs. This training aims to cover : “What is GST and its implications for business” .
