FPSO Training Series, 9th - 10th Dec 2013 & 10th - 11th March 2014, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The market demand for floating production systems is set to grow exponentially as Oil and Gas demand continues to grow and the easy oil and gas reserve are exploited. As new and development countries want energy independence and want to develop their offshore reserves while maintaining a minimal environmental impact.

Also, in the development of smaller oil or gas fields particularly in shallow waters where fixed WHP are considered too expensive and re-useable, FPSO jack-ups, MOPU’s and FSO’s are more sensible..
Or in deep-water offshore fields where there are no other alternative to develop their reserves. However, with these developments going to deeper depths and greater complexity there is a need to develop a more efficient  and better FPSO designs with improve safety and improved cost.

This course is aimed at Oil and Gas personnel wanting an understanding of the Floating Production Storage and Offloading Technology and Developments: The Course explains the terms used and the basic engineering needed for the Market demand, Also the Design, Construction, Testing, Commissioning and Operation expectations of FPSO systems.

The course is in two parts; Design and Construction

Part 1 - 9th and 10th of Dec 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
This is a general introduction and provides knowledge for understanding the design of FPSO Facilities and their systems
  • Day 1 covers the Market Demand and the drivers for FPSO Engineering, Plus the basics of FPSO Design  and Technology including the Process Engineering
  • Day 2 Covers the Detail Design of the FPSO Disciplines excluding Process Engineering and  considerations in the FPSO Project Process
Part 2 - 10th and 11th March 2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
This is a general introduction for FPSO systems  and the Construction and Commissioning of FPSO Facilities
